HW Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Hardware R&D

A leading high-tech company developing advanced and complex technology solutions is looking for a HW Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead hardware development projects within the R&D organization.

The role involves end-to-end management of electronic hardware development projects, including electronic boards and hardware assemblies, driving cross-functional collaboration between multidisciplinary R&D teams, internal stakeholders, and external subcontractors, while ensuring successful execution, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end execution of electronic hardware development projects from planning through delivery

• Build project plans, define tasks, track execution, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks

• Drive collaboration across Hardware, Firmware, System, QA, Product, Operations, and external subcontractors

• Manage interfaces with suppliers and subcontractors involved in hardware activities, including cables, connectors, fixtures, and related assemblies

• Manage project tasks, tracking, and execution using Jira and Confluence

• Identify bottlenecks, manage dependencies, and drive solutions in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment

• Provide project status updates, highlight risks, and present mitigation plans to stakeholders at various organizational levels

Requirements:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline – mandatory

• 3+ years of experience managing projects in a technological R&D environment – mandatory

• Proven experience leading projects across multiple R&D teams in a matrix organization

• Hands-on experience working with Jira and Confluence – mandatory

• Strong understanding of hardware development processes and engineering workflows

• Excellent project management skills including planning, tracking, prioritization, and risk management

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

Advantages:

• Previous hands-on experience in hardware development, electronic board design, system integration, or multidisciplinary systems

• Experience working with suppliers and external subcontractors

• Experience with NPI processes and transition from development to production
