Physicist

Elbit Systems in Rehovot is looking for a Laser Physicist to join a multidisciplinary team developing high-power laser systems based on optical fibers.

In This Role You Will

Lead the development of high-power laser systems based on optical fibers from concept phase through production and integration

Design, develop and research fiber laser technologies and integrate them into multidisciplinary systems

Design and build optical systems for physical experiments

Perform physical simulations and analytical modeling

Support serial production of fiber laser assemblies

Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and technology teams in an advanced R&D environment

Requirements

M.Sc. degree in Physics / Electro-Optics / Electrical Engineering

Ph.D. in a relevant field - Advantage

Experience in electro-optics and relevant laboratory work

Background in lasers and optical systems development - Advantage

Programming skills in Python and MATLAB

Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities, initiative, research leadership and independent working capabilities
