Application Security Architect | Central Israel | Financial Organization

Mertens Malam Team is looking for an experienced Application Security Architect to join a leading financial organization in Central Israel.

This role focuses on defining and leading application security requirements across enterprise systems, applications, and APIs. You will work closely with Development, DevOps, IT, and Information Security teams to design secure architectures, conduct risk assessments, and implement advanced security controls across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead application security initiatives across enterprise systems, applications, and APIs

Provide security guidance to Development, DevOps, and IT teams

Conduct security risk assessments and define mitigation strategies

Design secure architectures for cloud and on-premises environments

Work with Application Security, Cloud Security, AWS, Azure, OWASP Top 10, and Secure SDLC

Prepare architecture and design documentation

Collaborate with Information Security teams on governance, risk management, compliance, and audit activities

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Information Security with a strong focus on Application Security

Hands-on experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments

In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and Secure SDLC principles

Proven experience writing high-quality architecture and design documentation

Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption technologies, identity, and access management
