At ThirdEye Systems, we develop advanced electro-optical systems and solutions based on Computer Vision and AI for the defense market. Our technologies assist defense forces worldwide in tackling complex operational challenges and protecting lives.
We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our hardware team and take part in developing innovative products – from board design and integration phases through production. This is a hands-on role in a challenging technological environment, involving work with complex systems, end-to-end troubleshooting, and close collaboration with our development and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:• Board Design: Design and development of electronic boards, including schematic capture and collaboration with PCB layout designers.
• Component Selection: Defining component requirements, analyzing datasheets, selecting components, and creating Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Integration & Debug: Performing laboratory testing (Bring-up) for new boards, component-level troubleshooting, system calibration, and failure analysis.
• Production Collaboration: Working with subcontractors and board manufacturers locally and globally, including preparation of production files, addressing technical queries, and supporting DFM/DFT processes.
• Engineering Documentation: Writing characterization documents, test reports (ATP/ATR), and standard operating procedures.
Job Requirements:• Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Practical Engineer (Handasa'it) in Electronics / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 2-6 years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware development, including board design, schematic capture, bring-up, and troubleshooting.
• Development Tools: Proficiency in schematic design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro / OrCAD).
• Lab Experience: Proven experience working with test equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other laboratory measurement tools.
• Soldering Skills: High proficiency in SMD soldering for laboratory modifications, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Languages: High-level proficiency in Hebrew and English, including reading datasheets and writing technical documentation.
• Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team; strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a true hands-on approach.
Significant Advantages:• Previous experience in developing or maintaining electronic systems within the defense industry or through significant military technological service (IAF / technological units).
• Familiarity with military standards such as MIL-STD-810 for environmental conditions and MIL-STD-461 for EMC/EMI.
• Experience in designing electronic boards for airborne systems, ruggedized military applications, or other complex defense and mission-critical systems.
• Valid security clearance – a major advantage.
If you are looking for an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, be a meaningful part of development processes, and impact products with real operational value – we would love to get to know you!
