SodaStream: Lab Testing Engineer, Functional Validation

At SodaStream, we are passionate about creating innovative products that make a positive impact on people and the planet. We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Lab Testing Engineer to join our R&D Labs team in Kfar Saba.

In this role, you will be responsible for testing, validating, and documenting new SodaStream products throughout the development lifecycle- from early prototypes to final product validation. You will work closely with R&D engineers, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities (English)

• Execute laboratory testing activities for new SodaStream products and machines, including carbonators, bottles, accessories, and related systems.
• Prepare test samples, fixtures, and testing environments required for validation activities.
• Perform mechanical, pressure, leakage, durability, fatigue, thermal exposure, and functional testing according to defined test plans.
• Document test procedures, results, observations, and conclusions in a clear and organized manner.
• Generate test reports and maintain testing documentation and tracking records.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, fixtures, and tools, including calibration and routine maintenance activities.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations related to product performance and testing failures.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, and external suppliers to support product development and validation activities.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in laboratory testing, product validation, or technical testing environments.
• Experience working with mechanical systems, pressure systems, laboratory equipment, or testing tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, validation processes, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of test repeatability, measurement accuracy, and documentation practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Hebrew and high-level English, both written and spoken.
  
  

• Experience with pressure testing, fatigue testing, durability testing, or consumer product testing.
• Familiarity with quality standards, certification processes, and product validation requirements.
