Machine Learning Engineer

A global technology company is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join its Machine Learning Group.

The team develops next-generation machine learning models and algorithms for security and reliability in storage systems, transforming cutting-edge research into products deployed at scale.

This is an opportunity to work across the full research and development lifecycle - from problem formulation, data collection, algorithm development, simulation, and proof-of-concept implementation to production deployment. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, firmware, and system architects to co-design ML algorithms that are efficiently integrated into next-generation storage hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation machine learning models and algorithms for security and reliability in storage systems.
• Work across the full research lifecycle, from problem formulation and data collection through algorithm development, simulation, proof-of-concept implementation, and deployment.
• Design and implement ML models for time-series and tabular data related to storage systems and hardware behavior.
• Transform research concepts into production-ready ML solutions deployed at scale.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and system architecture teams to co-design efficient ML algorithms for next-generation storage hardware.
• Use Python, PyTorch, AI tools, and AI agents to support research, software development, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
• Contribute to technical reports, patent submissions, and, where relevant, research publications.

Required Qualifications

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - must.
• 5+ years of experience developing machine learning algorithms for production systems - must.
• Experience developing machine learning models for time-series and tabular data- must.
• Strong Python programming skills - must.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch - must.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and AI agents to support software development, research, debugging, documentation, and productivity - must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - must.
