Backend Team Leader

A leading software company in the e-mobility and EV charging management space is looking for a Backend Team Leader to join its R&D organization.

The company develops a cloud-based platform that enables major EV charging providers and service operators to manage charging networks, smart energy operations, billing, driver self-service tools, and integrations with existing infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to lead a backend engineering team working on scalable, cloud-based microservices systems using Java, AWS, GCP, and advanced AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a backend development team of engineers across local and international locations.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java in a cloud-based microservices environment.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, including architecture decisions, code reviews, and direct development work.
• Work with AWS, GCP, AI tools, and modern engineering practices to improve development quality and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, DevOps, QA, and global engineering teams.
• Drive execution, delivery, quality, and technical excellence across backend features and platform capabilities.
• Mentor developers, support professional growth, and maintain strong engineering standards within the team.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Team Leader
• At least 5 years of software development experience in Java, Python, or Go
• Strong backend development experience
• Experience working with cloud environments
• Experience with microservices architecture
• High level of English – must.
