About the Role:

We're hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and scale the infrastructure behind our AI-powered security platform. You’ll take ownership of our backend systems from day one; designing core APIs, orchestrating the data pipeline, building scalable services, and implementing high-performance integrations.

This is a founding-level role, giving you the opportunity to define our backend architecture, influence product strategy, and build the foundation of a platform that redefines cybersecurity.

You’ll work closely with AI researchers, product engineers, and infrastructure specialists - building high-performance services that connect our AI models, frontend systems, and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the core backend services that power our AI-driven cybersecurity platform.
• Build secure, robust, and scalable APIs that integrate with frontend and data pipelines.
• Architect distributed systems that handle large-scale, real-time data processing.
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, system reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to translate new ideas into production-ready systems.
• Optimize performance and resource utilization across AI and security workloads.
• Help define engineering best practices, technical direction, and overall system architecture.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or infrastructure engineer, ideally in a startup or fast-scaling environment.
• Deep understanding of system scalability and performance, including tradeoffs between latency, throughput, and reliability.
• Strong proficiency in Go, with hands-on experience designing GraphQL and distributed systems.
• Expert with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, and modern CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Background in cybersecurity - building secure systems, internal tools, or developer workflows.
• Proven experience in early-stage environments, taking systems from concept to production.

Bonus Points

• Experience or familiarity with DevOps infrastructure, tools, and workflows (CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment automation)
