Mertens - MalamTeam is looking for a GRC Specialist to join a public sector organization in Central Israel. Reporting directly to the CISO within the Information Technology Division, this role is responsible for bridging business needs with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements while ensuring compliance, effective risk management, and the protection of organizational trust.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities across the organization

Ensure alignment between business requirements, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory obligations

Support compliance initiatives and strengthen the organization's security governance framework

Assist in managing organizational risk and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Work closely with the CISO and internal stakeholders to promote security and regulatory best practices

Requirements

3+ years of GRC experience within the last 6 years

3+ years of cumulative experience supporting internal and external audits within the last 6 years

Familiarity with at least one of the following regulations or frameworks: SOC, GDPR, ISO 27001, or NIST
