Backend Engineer

An innovative, fast-growing ConTech startup developing a groundbreaking, AI-powered platform for the automated analysis and verification of complex construction blueprints and infrastructure plans.

Recently acquired by a major, publicly traded global German technology corporation, the local branch continues to operate as an independent, agile business unit blending a dynamic startup culture with immense financial backing and organizational stability.

The R&D center is based in a highly accessible central tech hub in Tel Aviv (directly on the train line), operating under a flexible hybrid model of 3 days of remote work per week.

Position Overview-

• Senior Backend Engineer joining an elite, core engineering squad to develop and scale high-throughput backend services, distributed data pipelines, and intelligent API layers.
• Designing and implementing resilient, cloud-native services primarily utilizing Python and Go.
• Architecting scalable cloud infrastructure components and integrating complex Machine Learning execution pipelines.
• Optimizing data models across relational and NoSQL databases, and managing high-volume message queues for real-time spatial calculations.
• Core Domain & Ecosystem- ConTech, Spatial Data Analysis, AI-Driven Risk Mitigation, High-Scale Backend Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), Containerization (Docker, K8s), Hybrid Databases, Message Brokers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of proven professional experience in backend software engineering – Mandatory
• Production-grade programming mastery in Python, Go, or Java – Mandatory
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and deploying services on modern Cloud platforms (preferably AWS) – Mandatory
• Strong practical experience working with containerization and orchestration, specifically Docker and/or Kubernetes – Mandatory
• Hands-on engineering experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) – Mandatory
• Experience with or close exposure to integrating Machine Learning, spatial data processing, or computer vision pipelines – Advantage
