Mechanical Engineer

Eshed Group is seeking a highly professional and hands-on Tooling & Fixtures Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading defense organization in the Central District.

You will design next-generation manufacturing tools and write detailed production routing file procedures, bridging the gap between high-level R&D engineering and successful shop-floor execution.

• Tooling & Fixture Design: Lead the mechanical design of complex manufacturing tools, fixtures, molds, lifting equipment, transportation setups, and metrology/assembly aids across diverse areas (including CNC machining, composite materials, and system integration).
• Process Characterization & Documentation: Draft and compile comprehensive manufacturing routing packages, process files, and technical manuals for parts and assemblies.
• Engineering Changes & Subcontracting: Author technical requirements and specifications for subcontractor fabrication. Develop and implement engineering changes (ECO) on existing tooling setups.
• Manufacturing Shop-Floor Support: Provide ongoing on-site engineering support to production engineers, troubleshooting technical anomalies and optimizing manufacturing processes in real-time.

• Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.
• Mechanical Design Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in detailed mechanical design – Mandatory.
• CAD Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks – Mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of reading, interpreting, and generating complex engineering drawings and GD&T – Mandatory.
• Languages: Good professional working proficiency in English.

• At least 3 years of experience specializing in the design of manufacturing tools and fixtures (תכן כלים ומקבעים).
• Proficient working knowledge of Siemens NX CAD software.
• Practical understanding of surface treatments and industrial coatings.
