Role Description The Technician role at Jar Engineering is a full-time, on-site position based in Or Akiva. The Technician will support daily operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, tools, and systems related to the company’s engineering projects. Typical tasks include performing scheduled inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting maintenance activities, and following safety and quality procedures. The role involves working closely with engineers and other team members to ensure equipment reliability, prepare work areas and materials, and assist in testing and calibration of devices. The Technician is expected to follow established standards, keep accurate records, and communicate clearly about progress, issues, and resource needs.
Qualifications

• Relevant technical background (such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields) and hands-on experience with tools, machines, or production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications, and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance activities.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to document work clearly using checklists, maintenance logs, and basic computer tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new methods and technologies, adapt to changing priorities, and participate in technical training as needed.
• High school diploma or technical certificate; additional vocational or professional training in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environments and familiarity with quality and safety standards are beneficial.
