A deeply innovative aerospace and telecommunications pioneer engineering the world’s first space-based cellular broadband network.
The company designs ultra-advanced payload systems that enable direct-to-device satellite connectivity for standard, unmodified mobile phones globally.
By bridging cutting-edge satellite communication networks with global telecommunications infrastructure, the enterprise solves critical global connectivity challenges.
The corporate engineering facility is based in a central tech hub (highly accessible, situated directly along the main transit network), operating under a hybrid model providing 1 day of remote work per week.
Position Overview-
- Senior High-Speed Board Design Engineer taking core hardware ownership of next-generation, space-flight electronics and satellite payload computing modules.
- Executing full-lifecycle electronic hardware design, spanning component selection, comprehensive schematic architecture, and low-level board layout optimization.
- Architecting ultra-dense digital boards that incorporate high-speed FPGA arrays, multi-core processors (CPUs), and high-performance clock distribution matrices.
- Driving critical system bring-up, multi-layer board initialization, hardware integration, and structural validation inside laboratory environments.
- Spearheading complex, ultra-high-speed signal layouts operating at frequencies of 25Gbps and above, ensuring exceptional signal and power integrity (SI/PI).
- Collaborating cross-functionally across R&D disciplines to perform deep hardware-software diagnostics and smoothly guide assemblies through Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and space qualification deployment phases.
- Core Domain & Ecosystem- Aerospace Electronics, Space-Grade Payload Design, High-Speed Digital Board Design, Schematic Capture, FPGA & CPU Architectures, 25Gbps+ High-Speed Interfaces, Clock Distribution, Hardware System Bring-up, Signal Integrity.
Requirements
- Academic Background: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized academic institution – Mandatory
- 6+ years of proven professional experience dedicated strictly to high-speed digital board design and hardware electronics development – Mandatory
- Deep practical experience designing, laying out, and testing complex hardware systems built around high-speed FPGA and CPU architectures – Mandatory
- Proven track record in High-Speed board design (25Gbps or above), managing signal attenuation, impedance matching, and high-frequency noise constraints – Mandatory
- Hands-on mastery of the full design cycle: component analysis, bill-of-materials (BOM) management, and detailed schematic capture – Mandatory
- Strong practical experience executing hardware system bring-up, debugging, and verification using advanced lab equipment (e.g., high-speed Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers) – Mandatory
- Exceptional analytical skills focused on isolating root causes for hardware-firmware errors at both the board and multi-system integration levels – Mandatory
- Proven ability to author comprehensive technical documentation, including product specifications, validation protocols, and testing instructions – Mandatory
