Head of the Electro-Mechanical Actuators Department

About the role

MALAM, missile and Space Systems Division, is seeking a Head of the Electro-Mechanical Actuators Department.

The role includes:

• Managing a department of approximately five employees, including employee development, direct management, task prioritization, conducting performance reviews, and leading the department.

• Leading the design and development of new mechanisms.

• Providing engineering oversight and supervision of mechanical design.

• Leading design reviews and defining test requirements.

• Defining mechanical requirements.

• Writing technical specifications and managing subcontractors.

• Managing schedules and ensuring the department meets its objectives.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering – Advantage.

• At least 3 years of direct management experience – Mandatory.

• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical development and design – Mandatory.

• At least 2 years of experience in the development and design of electro-mechanical mechanisms – Mandatory.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary system design – Mandatory.

• Ability to write requirements specifications and provide technical management of subcontractors – Mandatory.

• Experience managing a mechanical design team – Advantage.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
