Innovation Manager

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of law, technology, and business processes. The Innovation & Legal Technology Manager will work closely with legal teams, management, and technology providers to identify needs, design tailored solutions, and implement AI-driven tools and workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s innovation strategy and the implementation of AI initiatives.
• Define, build, and implement dedicated skills and workflows for a wide range of legal tasks.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and design tailored automation solutions.
• Work closely with legal teams to understand business and legal needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Manage technology vendors, LegalTech tools, and AI platforms, including evaluating and implementing new solutions.
• Lead training, onboarding, and adoption processes for lawyers and legal teams.
• Ensure that all solutions comply with confidentiality, information security, privacy, and professional ethics requirements.

Requirements

• Experience leading innovation, digital transformation, or technology adoption initiatives, preferably within a law firm or legal environment.
• Practical understanding of legal and operational workflows within a law firm.
• Hands-on experience defining and building AI tools, automations, workflows, or skills, including prompt engineering, integrations, or development.
• Familiarity with LegalTech platforms and generative AI tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Legal background, such as an LL.B. degree or experience as a lawyer- advantage.
• Experience managing technology projects and leading organizational change - advantage.
• Familiarity with regulatory, privacy, information security, and compliance requirements in the legal sector.
