Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. The counselor will provide online individual, couples, and family counseling using secure video, chat, and app-based tools, adhering to ethical and regulatory standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting mental health assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, and documenting sessions and case notes accurately in the platform. The role also involves coordinating case management activities, collaborating with other mental health professionals as needed, and supporting clients with crisis intervention and safety planning when appropriate. Counselors will help clients build coping skills, foster emotional resilience, and maintain a therapeutic environment that is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to apply evidence-based, client-centered therapeutic approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in Treatment Planning, including assessment, goal setting, and ongoing evaluation of progress.
• Skills in Relationship Counseling, couples and family work, with sensitivity to diverse identities, cultures, and family structures.
• Proficiency in Case Management, including coordination of care, referrals, and follow-up to support continuity of treatment.
• Active state license as a Mental Health Counselor (e.g., LMHC, LPC, LCPC, or equivalent), in good standing.
• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Comfort with telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and maintaining confidentiality in a virtual environment.
• Excellent communication, empathic listening, and crisis management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Prior experience providing online therapy or working in multicultural and global contexts is preferred.
