Hardware NPI Engineer

We’re hiring: Hardware NPI Engineer

NTI Electronics is looking for a hands-on Hardware NPI Engineer to manage the transition of our products from R&D to production.

This role requires a strong multidisciplinary understanding of hardware products, including electronics, mechanical parts, cable harnesses, connectors, assemblies, and production processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining production documentation, drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and technical files

• Coordinating between R&D, mechanical engineering, electronics, purchasing, suppliers, subcontractors, and production

• Supporting prototypes, pilot builds, first articles, and production ramp-up

• Working directly with suppliers and manufacturers to solve technical and production issues

• Reviewing customer and compliance requirements and translating them into product, documentation, and testing needs

• Coordinating product validation, inspections, FAI, functional tests, IP66/environmental checks, and external laboratory testing when required

• Helping identify design or production gaps and working with the relevant teams to close them

• Making sure each product is properly documented, tested, manufacturable, repeatable, and ready for serial production.

Required background:

• Solid hands-on experience with multidisciplinary hardware products

• Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, cable harnesses, connectors, assemblies, and production processes

• Experience preparing and managing production documentation, BOMs, drawings, assembly instructions, and test procedures

• Ability to communicate directly with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and laboratories

• Practical understanding of product testing, inspections, production validation, and manufacturing readiness

• Strong English skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation, communicate with suppliers, and manage product-related correspondence in English.
