Cyber Security Specialist

Matrix is hiring an OT Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading government organization. In this role, the position includes proactive cyber defense, incident response (IR), and threat forecasting across Operational Technology (OT) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead proactive cyber defense activities and respond to cybersecurity incidents in OT environments.
• Perform digital forensics and conduct incident investigations.
• Analyze security logs and identify anomalies across OT networks.
• Forecast attack vectors and assess emerging threats targeting OT infrastructure.
• Collect and analyze cyber threat intelligence from multiple sources.
• Optimize and enhance SIEM correlation rules and develop new detection use cases.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to improve OT cybersecurity resilience.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in one or more of the following: SOC Analyst, Incident Response (IR), Red Team, or Penetration Testing.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, including SOAR, Deception, Anomaly Detection, and other security platforms.
• Strong understanding of cyberattack techniques, tactics, and mitigation strategies.
• Experience analyzing security events, investigating incidents, and identifying threats in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with OT/ICS environments – an advantage.
