Piping Design Team Leader (2898)

IDE Technologies is a leading player in the water treatment industry, specializing in cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Piping Design Team Leader to join our

Project Engineering division and lead our piping design team in delivering large-scale and complex global projects.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and manage a team of piping designers responsible for piping layout and equipment arrangement for
• large-scale water treatment plants in Israel and worldwide.
• Develop complex 3D models, piping layouts, and engineering drawings using advanced CAD design tools.
• Generate equipment layouts, piping arrangement drawings, isometrics, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Ensure compliance with international piping design standards and codes (such as ASME), including material selection and engineering best practices.
• Perform pipe stress calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support engineering design and project execution.
• Identify engineering challenges, implement lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement and optimization of department workflows.
• Serve as the professional focal point and technical authority for piping engineering within the Engineering division.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and support global project execution.

Reports to: Director Engineering Division

What You Will Bring:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Piping Designer utilizing CAD tools, including integrated piping/equipment modeling, equipment layouts, piping arrangement drawings, isometrics, and BOM generation – Mandatory
• Proven experience leading and managing a design team – A Significant Advantage
• Proficiency in advanced design tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, PDMS, or Pro-Steel – Mandatory
• Experience working with Configuration Management / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies – An Advantage
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Practical Engineer
• Professional working proficiency in English (written, verbal, and reading)
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, and global project environment
