Avionics Systems Engineer

A leading company in the aerospace and defense sector is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to take a key role in developing advanced systems for airborne platforms and UAVs within complex multidisciplinary projects.

The role focuses on end-to-end systems engineering of sophisticated platforms, integrating both hardware and software, from early concept definition through design, integration, testing, and delivery to the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead systems engineering activities for advanced airborne platforms and UAV systems
• Define system requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications.
• Lead complex integration processes, including payload and subsystem integration.
• Develop system requirements documents, design specifications, and technical documentation
• Drive cross-functional engineering activities across electronics, flight software, and additional disciplines
• Support verification, validation, testing, and customer delivery phases
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the full development lifecycle

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering - an advantage
• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in complex multidisciplinary hardware-software systems
• Hands-on engineering background, including exposure to electrical design
• Familiarity with MATLAB / Python and communication protocols – an advantage
• Experience in aerospace or autonomous systems – an advantage
• Military background in UAV units (operations / technical / engineering) – an advantage
• Strong English proficiency
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
