Network Operations & Control Technician

We are looking for an Network Operations & Control Technician to join a central technology team, responsible for the availability of the organization's core systems.

The role includes managing, operating, and end-to-end monitoring of IT infrastructure and Tier-1 systems, coordinating and implementing changes in production, absorbing new technologies, and providing solutions to complex hardware and communication failures in a dynamic and critical environment.

Full willingness to work in varied shifts including weekends

Job requirements

• Practical experience in operating and monitoring computing systems and infrastructures in large organizations (or equivalent Tier-1 environments) - required
• Familiarity and work with Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems - required
• Familiarity with VM infrastructures and Kubernetes environments (or equivalent virtualization technologies)
• Understanding of communication infrastructures and information security equipment
• Ability to deal with stressful situations, broad systemic vision and take responsibility
• Experience working with organizational monitoring systems such as Splunk or Dynatrace (or equivalent tools) - an advantage
• Knowledge of operating cloud systems or mainframe central computer systems - an advantage
• Experience in systems analysis or development - an advantage
