Claims department manager

We're recruiting for a leading financial organization an experienced Claims Department Manager to lead a large claims operation across Property, Liability, and Specialty Lines.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who combines strong legal expertise, operational excellence, and a proven ability to lead managers and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Claims Department across:

* Homeowners Insurance

* Commercial Property Insurance

* Property & Bodily Injury Liability Claims

* Specialty Lines, including Professional Liability, Product Liability, Directors & Officers (D&O), and Cyber.

• Lead 4 teams through the direct management of four Team Managers.

• Oversee the handling of complex and high-value claims while ensuring service excellence.

• Drive operational performance, KPIs, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement.

• Lead automation and efficiency initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with brokers, reinsurers, legal advisors, loss adjusters, and external vendors.

• Partner cross-functionally with Underwriting, Finance, Customer Service, and Regulatory teams.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and sound risk management practices.

• Mentor, develop, and coach managers and employees across the department.

Requirements

• Licensed Attorney (LL.B. with an active Bar admission) - Mandatory
• Significant management experience within an insurance claims department - Mandatory
• Proven experience leading managers and cross-functional teams
• Strong expertise in Property, Liability, and Specialty Insurance Claims
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
• Strong process improvement and operational management capabilities
• Business-oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English - Mandatory
