QC technologist – Food & Plant-Based Proteins

We are seeking a passionate and skilled QC Technology to join our dynamic, innovative company in plant‑based proteins and next‑generation food technology.

In this challenging role, you will be part of a dedicated analytical team whose mission is to build a robust, integrated capability for testing, data generation, and data interpretation that supports R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, with a strong focus on plant‑based protein ingredients and applications.

You will play a direct and meaningful role in shaping the quality of our new, differentiated plant‑based protein ingredients and their applications, helping to ensure they consistently meet high performance and safety standards.

As QC Technology at Meala you will:

·      Be responsible for performing routine and advanced analytical tests on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet our quality, safety, and regulatory standards in the field of plant‑based food technology.

·      Design and validate analytical methods for key parameters of the on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products including writhing reports and protocols for these methods  

·      Use hands-on experience with a wide range of laboratory testing methods to support routine and advanced analytical testing.

·      Operate, maintain, and perform basic calibration on laboratory equipment

·      Record, review, and approve test results in laboratory systems and prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) as needed.

·      Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized laboratory environment and manage inventory of reagents and consumables

Please apply if you have:

·      Experience in QC within food, ingredients, biotechnology or related industries is an advantage.

·      Hands‑on experience with a wide range of laboratory testing methods (e.g., chromatographic, spectroscopic/colorimetric, microbiological, and classical wet‑chemistry techniques) and quality systems

·      Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and ability to work to deadlines.

·      Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with Production, R&D, and QA teams.

·      Good command of English (reading and writing analytical reports)

·      Team player - work in a multidisciplinary team
