Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer (C++ / RTOS)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer to join the Software Division at ELTA Systems. In this role, you will develop advanced real-time intelligence systems, working with cutting-edge technologies in a highly innovative, AI-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Real-Time Embedded software in C/C++ for advanced intelligence systems.
• Design, analyze, and implement software requirements.
• Perform testing, optimization, debugging, and system integration in Host & Target environments.
• Develop and maintain software on VxWorks and Embedded Linux operating systems.
• Work with Docker and modern development tools.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team while being exposed to innovative technologies and AI-based development environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Practical Engineering diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related Exact Sciences field – Mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience developing Real-Time Embedded software in C++ – Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Multithreading, and Multicore programming – Mandatory.
• Experience with DevOps methodologies – Advantage.
• Experience with Git or other Configuration Management (CM) tools – Advantage.
• Willingness to travel abroad occasionally.
• Availability to work additional hours when required.
• Fast learner, strong team player, and committed to technical excellence.
