Junior IT Administrator

What You’ll Do:

We're hiring a Junior IT Administrator to be a part our DevOps team. This is an entry-level role, no prior work experience required.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network issues
• Set up, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripherals
• Create and manage user accounts and permissions
• Assist with monitoring network performance and troubleshooting basic connectivity issues
• Support installation, updates, and patching of operating systems and software
• Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and assets
• Document issues and resolutions in a helpdesk ticketing system
• Assist senior IT staff with projects and system upgrades
• Follow basic cybersecurity practices (antivirus, backups, access controls)

What We're Looking For

• A degree, diploma, or certificate in IT, DevOps, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, OR completion of a recognized IT course or bootcamp (e.g. CompTIA, Google IT Support, Microsoft, Cisco), OR relevant military technical experience
• Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
• Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers)
• Understanding of basic cybersecurity practices
• A fast learner with strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, able to explain technical issues in plain language
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and a team player
