Founding CTO / Technical Co-FounderStealth Early-Stage Health-Tech Startup

We are building a new wearable health platform that combines continuous physiological sensing, real-time signal interpretation, and automated personalized intervention.

We are looking for a Founding CTO / Technical Co-Founder to take ownership of the technology and lead the product from early feasibility through prototype development and, ultimately, a scalable product.

This is not simply a management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys building from zero to one, making architectural decisions, working directly with data and algorithms, and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering development.

What you will lead

You will own the technological direction of the company, with two primary areas of responsibility:

Biosignal algorithms and data

• Develop algorithms for processing and interpreting multimodal physiological signals.
• Build robust methods for filtering noise and biological and motion-related artifacts.
• Develop classification, prediction, and personalized inference models using signal processing and machine-learning approaches.
• Lead multimodal sensor fusion across neural, cardiovascular, optical, and motion-derived signals.
• Define the end-to-end data strategy, including collection, synchronization, labeling, quality control, and model training.
• Translate experimental data into real-time algorithms suitable for implementation in a wearable device.

Multidisciplinary product development

• Define the overall system architecture across sensing, electronics, embedded software, algorithms, mechanics, and product design.
• Lead and prioritize the work of internal engineers, external development partners, and specialist contractors.
• Guide the development of low-power wearable hardware and its integration with the algorithmic platform.
• Establish a practical development roadmap from feasibility testing to a functional prototype and product-ready architecture.

What we are looking for

• A degree in engineering, computer science, physics, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or another relevant quantitative field. An MSc or PhD is an advantage.
• At least three years of hands-on experience processing biological or physiological signals.
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing, including filtering, artifact removal, feature extraction, classification, and prediction.
• Practical experience with signals such as EEG, ECG, PPG, EMG, respiration, inertial-sensor data, or comparable biosignals.
• Experience applying machine learning to noisy, real-world time-series data.
• Experience developing multidisciplinary systems that combine hardware, electronics, sensing, embedded software, and algorithms.
• Ability to lead technical teams and external engineering partners while remaining hands-on when required.
• Strong system-level thinking and the ability to make sound decisions under the uncertainty of an early-stage startup.
• A co-founder mindset: ownership, curiosity, resilience, and genuine commitment to the company’s mission.

Particularly valuable experience

• Wearable devices or highly power-constrained systems.
• Medical-device development and familiarity with FDA or CE pathways.
• Neurotechnology or neural-signal processing.
• Real-time or embedded implementation of signal-processing algorithms.
• Clinical or human-subject feasibility studies.
• Intellectual-property and patent development.
