Operational Account Manager

IDEA Machine Development, a leading industrial-tech company specializing in electro-optics and advanced manufacturing, is looking for an Operational Account Manager to manage the day-to-day operational activity of one of the company’s key strategic customers.

This is a significant operational role, with full responsibility for managing orders, deliveries, coordination, follow-up, and daily communication with the customer, while working closely with the Planning Department and additional internal interfaces across the company.

The role serves as the central connection point between the customer and IDEA’s planning and execution teams. It requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail, follow-up discipline, and the ability to create order, control, and visibility in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the ongoing operational activity of a single strategic customer.

Track customer orders, execution status, delivery dates, and timelines on a daily basis.

Maintain regular communication with the customer on operational matters, including updates, coordination, and follow-up on open issues.

Lead status meetings and provide ongoing updates to the customer and relevant internal stakeholders.

Work closely with the Planning Department to promote orders, prioritize tasks, and follow up on execution.

Identify risks, delays, and operational blockers, escalate them on time, and drive them to resolution.

Maintain accurate data, follow-up, and control within the company’s internal systems.

Monitor deviations, gaps, and open issues, and ensure full closure.

Create a high level of confidence, order, reliability, and transparency for the customer.

Requirements

Previous experience in an operational role/account management/production planning/supply chain/ order management - required.

Very high level of English - required.

Strong ability to manage, track, and control multiple tasks, details, and timelines.

Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

High personal responsibility, independence, and ability to drive tasks end-to-end.

Assertiveness, service orientation, and strong communication skills with customers and internal interfaces.

Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-interface, fast-changing environment.

Experience in a technological manufacturing environment – an advantage.

Experience with ERP systems / Priority / Monday / Excel – an advantage.
