Position Overview-

• Senior Optomechanical Development Engineer owning the complete end-to-end (E2E) mechanical lifecycle of complex electro-optical systems, from initial requirements definition through advanced CAD design to production hand-off.
• Designing and modeling high-precision optomechanical components and sub-assemblies, ensuring structural integrity and thermal stability under extreme environmental conditions.
• Constructing exhaustive manufacturing blueprints (PDR/CDR documentation, CAD models, detailed technical drawings, and precise geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Collaborating closely within a high-caliber, multidisciplinary R&D group encompassing physics, optics, software, and systems engineers to drive cross-functional product synergy.
• Core Domain & Ecosystem- Optomechanical Design, Precision Mechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM (SolidWorks/Creo), Infrared (IR) & Thermal Imaging Technologies, Multidisciplinary Systems Engineering, Technical Manufacturing Documentation (BOM/Manufacturing Portfolios), and NPI (New Product Introduction).

Requirements-

• Academic Background: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized academic institution – Mandatory (M.Sc. – Significant Advantage)
• 5+ years of proven, hands-on professional experience deeply focused on high-precision optomechanical design and development within the defense, aerospace, or advanced electro-optics industries – Mandatory
• Extensive technical mastery of modern CAD software/3D modeling tools for intricate mechanical design – Mandatory
• Broad systemic vision with a demonstrated capacity to quickly master new physical and technological concepts – Mandatory
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of thriving within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team ecosystems – Mandatory
• Prior leadership or engineering management experience – Advantage
