System Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Space Division within the Missile & Space Systems Group at IAI. The role is part of an innovative and challenging satellite communications program, requiring creativity, systems thinking, and strong engineering leadership.

The position includes:

• Defining system requirements, system processes, and overall system architecture, while leading the system design activities

• Modeling system components and defining interfaces between subsystems and external elements

• Participating in system and design reviews (internal and customer-facing design reviews)

• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including electronics, mechanical, control, communications, and software engineering, as well as subcontractors

• Leading system design activities and taking full responsibility for system-level engineering aspects throughout the development lifecycle

• Participating in system integration and verification activities, ensuring compliance with system requirements and performance objectives

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering – Mandatory

• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering – Advantage

• At least 5 years of proven experience leading design or development processes of complex engineering systems – Mandatory

• Willingness to travel internationally as required

• Experience in airborne systems development – Advantage

• Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) – Mandatory

The division develops a wide range of satellites – including communications, surveillance, and scientific research systems – from nano and mini satellites to ground control stations, mission centers, and launch systems.
