Field Service Technician

What You’ll Do:

• Field Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure network equipment on-site, including switches, routers (e.g., TP-Link with cellular modems/SIM cards), and FortiGate firewalls.
• Network Setup: Handle basic network configurations, including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, and cellular connectivity (APN/SIM).
• System Commissioning: Ensure end-to-end communication between site equipment, networks, and our monitoring center.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose, analyze, and resolve communication faults on-site in real time.
• Lab Prep & Remote Support: Handle pre-configuration of equipment in the office, monitor active sites, track network performance, and provide remote technical support.
• Documentation: Maintain orderly reporting, equipment labeling, and site-visit documentation.

What You Bring (Requirements):

• Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in low-voltage communication field installation.
• Networking Knowledge: Practical familiarity with switches, routers, and firewalls (FortiGate experience is a major plus).
• IP Basics: Solid understanding of IP addresses, VLANs, routing, and cellular connectivity.
• Field-Ready: Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel for field work, and the ability to work highly independently.
• Languages: Native Hebrew and very good technical English (for working with international vendors and technical documentation

Extra Points For:

• Licensed Chief Electrician (חשמלאי ראשי) – A highly significant advantage!
• Experience with commissioning large-scale BESS (>1 MW).
• Familiarity with leading inverter and system manufacturers (e.g., Sungrow, SolarEdge, SMA, KACO, Huawei).
• Experience with VPP (Virtual Power Plants), EMS (Energy Management Systems), or SCADA systems.
• Deep understanding of the Israeli energy market and regulations (TAOZ tariffs, IEC grid connection processes, ancillary/frequency services.
