Procurement & Contracts Buyer

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is looking for a Procurement & Contracts Buyer to join the Procurement & Supply Department in a full-time temporary replacement position for approximately six months.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts, or commercial negotiations who are looking to gain experience in a dynamic and impactful public-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tender documents in accordance with public procurement regulations.
• Support the preparation, analysis, and administration of tenders, supplier agreements, and commercial documentation.
• Monitor contract validity, insurance requirements, and guarantees.
• Review contractor and supplier invoices.
• Prepare purchase orders, obtain quotations, and negotiate with suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor project budgets and purchasing activities.
• Generate reports and support ongoing procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (preferred in Economics, Logistics, Business Administration, or Law) or Practical Engineer qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts, or commercial administration.
• Experience in commercial negotiations and contract management – an advantage.
