Role Description This full-time Oracle Database Administrator role at Planview AdaptiveWork is a hybrid position based in Ra’anana , with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Oracle Database Administrator will manage, monitor, and optimize Oracle databases that support the AdaptiveWork platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include installing and configuring databases, performing routine maintenance and upgrades, managing backup and recovery processes, and implementing replication strategies. The role involves troubleshooting database issues, improving query performance, and working closely with development and DevOps teams to support application releases and schema changes. The Oracle Database Administrator will also maintain strong database security practices, monitor access, and contribute to documentation and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Oracle Database Administration and general Database Administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Replication and high-availability solutions to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting database-related issues, root cause analysis, and implementing long-term fixes.
- Knowledge of Database Security best practices, including access control, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
- Experience working in production environments supporting SaaS or large-scale enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (such as Bash or Python) for automation and tooling.
- Understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems and cloud or virtualized infrastructure environments.
Knowledge of AWS RDS architecture

- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage priorities, and communicate clearly in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with other database technologies (such as PostgreSQL) is an advantage.
