Data Engineer

A leading financial institution located in Lod is looking for a Data Engineer to join its team in a full-time hybrid position.

This is a great opportunity to join an advanced AI-focused team, work on large-scale data infrastructure, and collaborate closely with Data Scientists on innovative, data-driven solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale and complex ETL and data processing pipelines.

• Work with high-volume data in AWS and on-prem environments.

• Build and optimize data infrastructure and generic frameworks for managing and automating data workflows.

• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams on AI and Machine Learning initiatives.

• Work with modern data pipelines and big data processing technologies.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

• 3+ years of hands-on Python development and Object-Oriented Programming.

• Strong experience with Spark for large-scale data processing.

• Hands-on experience with AWS (required).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Statistics (required).

Technical Highlights:

• Strong experience with AWS services such as Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS/SNS.

• Advantage: experience with Redshift, Kafka, and working with APIs.

• Strong experience designing complex ETL pipelines, including building frameworks, templates, and control layers (not just pipeline development).

• Experience with Docker, Linux, CI/CD tools, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow or Kubeflow.

• Advantage: experience deploying models using SageMaker.

• Advantage: experience building microservices.

• Familiarity with Machine Learning and GenAI concepts.
