Senior Software Engineer - Robotics Systems

A robotics and warehouse automation company is developing advanced Goods-to-Person solutions that combine intelligent software with agile, bin-oriented robotics.

The company’s technology is focused on flexibility, scalability, and smooth integration into warehouse environments, helping organizations improve speed, adaptability, and operational efficiency.

This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary robotics environment and work closely with hardware, algorithms, and product teams on complex robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and collaborate across Hardware, Algorithms, and Product teams to define system capabilities.
• Design robust and scalable software abstractions that accurately reflect real-world robotic system capabilities.
• Lead software design and integration of sensors, motor drivers, and robotics components.
• Stay up to date with the latest hardware and sensing technologies to identify opportunities for improving fleet performance and cost.
• Perform root cause analysis for escalated hardware/software integration issues.
• Provide technical guidance to team members through architecture definitions, design reviews, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of strong C++ development experience.
• Experience in robotics software development and/or ROS development.
• Experience with SLAM and/or Motion Planning algorithms.
• Strong system-level understanding and ability to work across software, hardware, and algorithms.
