A leading global technology company is looking for a talented Data Engineer to join its Fraud Prevention team.

This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of Big Data, Analytics, Cloud Technologies, and Fraud Detection, partnering closely with analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable data solutions that drive business impact.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data requirements from internal stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain databases, data models, and analytics platforms.
• Build and optimize batch and real-time ETL/data pipelines using modern cloud and big-data technologies.
• Take end-to-end ownership of data assets, including data quality, monitoring, operational support, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
• Influence data architecture, engineering best practices, and development processes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
• Serve as a go-to expert for data exploration, analytics, and pipeline development.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on reducing financial fraud and enhancing business intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong business understanding and the ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Experience working directly with internal stakeholders and business partners.
• Advanced SQL skills in large-scale data environments.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse platforms such as Spark, Databricks, Redshift, Athena, Trino, or Presto.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining end-to-end ETL and data pipelines.
• Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS (EMR, Spark, S3, EC2).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data integration.
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or similar.
• Fluent Hebrew and English.

Advantage

• Experience working with fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or risk-management systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development environments and Agentic workflows (Claude, Cursor, etc.).
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with Java or Scala.
• Experience with stream processing and near real-time data ingestion.
• Knowledge of graph databases.
