Salesforce Solutions Engineer (Presales) – Deloitte Digital
Role Overview
As a Salesforce Solutions Engineer at Deloitte Digital, you sit at the intersection of business strategy and technical innovation. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, translating complex business challenges into transformative Salesforce-led digital solutions. You are not just a technical expert; you are a storyteller who brings the "Art of the Possible" to life through compelling demonstrations, architectural guidance, and strategic proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
* **Strategic Discovery:** Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their business objectives, pain points, and current technical debt.
* **Solution Architecting:** Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions (across Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, or Data Cloud) that align with client requirements and industry best practices.
* **Compelling Demonstrations:** Develop and deliver high-impact, customized product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that resonate with both C-suite executives and technical stakeholders.
* **Proposal Leadership:** Play a lead role in the bid management process, including contributing to RFPs/RFIs, creating technical sales collateral, and defining scope, effort, and delivery timelines.
* **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with Sales Executives, industry leads, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from the sales cycle to project execution.
* **Thought Leadership:** Stay at the forefront of the Salesforce ecosystem—including Agentforce, Generative AI, and Data Cloud—to advise clients on innovation and competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications

* **Experience:** 5+ years of experience in Salesforce consulting, solution engineering, or a similar technical advisory role.
* **Platform Expertise:** Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform. Ability to design solutions leveraging declarative configuration as well as custom development (Apex, LWC).
* **Communication:** Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills. Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical audiences.
* **Consulting Mindset:** Strong problem-solving abilities and a "client-first" approach. Experience managing stakeholder expectations and navigating complex, multi-layered accounts.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
* **Certifications:** Active Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform Developer I, Sales/Service/Marketing Cloud Consultant, or System/Application Architect).
### Preferred Qualifications
* Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein/AI agents, or industry-specific clouds (e.g., Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud).
* Experience in a Big Four or Tier-1 management consulting firm.
* Proven success in winning complex enterprise-level deals.
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence) and SDLC best practices.
