We are an early-stage startup looking for a senior engineer who wants to build core product infrastructure from the ground up.

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and own key parts of the Synora product.

You will work on backend services, data flows, APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure, databases, orchestration, monitoring, and AI-native product capabilities.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take a complex or unclear requirement, understand the product and data context, ask the right questions, design the architecture, implement it, and bring it to production.

Design and build production-grade backend services in Python.

Build scalable APIs, data flows, integrations, and infrastructure components.

Develop systems that connect structured and unstructured data into usable business context.

Work on AI-native workflows and data-oriented capabilities that power agent intelligence.

Own features end to end, from requirement clarification and architecture to deployment and production support.

Design for reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability.

Use modern AI-assisted development tools while applying strong engineering judgment.

Collaborate closely with product, leadership, and engineering on technical direction and architecture.

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building production backend systems in Python.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
• Experience owning complex backend features or systems end to end.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, databases, distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend architecture.
• Data-oriented mindset, including modeling, pipelines, consistency, performance, and scale.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, ask sharp questions, and turn vague ideas into working systems.
• High ownership, strong communication, and good engineering judgment.
• Comfort using AI coding tools and modern development workflows.

Experience with AI-native systems, AI agents, LLM-based products, RAG, or agent orchestration.

Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, Pub/Sub, queues, or streaming systems.

Experience with data pipelines, workflow engines, or orchestration systems.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, or cloud-native infrastructure.

Experience with graph databases, search engines, knowledge graphs, vector search, or semantic data models.

Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or cloud monitoring tools.

Experience in early-stage startups or high-ownership environments.

Experience using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI-assisted development environments.

You will join at an early stage and help shape the core product, architecture, engineering culture, and technical direction.

You will work on a meaningful problem: building the intelligence layer that allows AI agents to understand businesses, reason over real operational context, and act with greater reliability.
