Principal Solution Architect

RiverPool is building the next generation of AI-powered data infrastructure, helping organizations reimagine how they interact with their data warehouses. Our platform combines modern data architectures, AI, and agentic workflows to enable teams to unlock business value from their data faster and more effectively.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Solution Architect to lead customer-facing solution strategy, guide complex data initiatives, and help shape the future of our Data & AI platform.

The Role

As Principal Solution Architect, you will serve as the bridge between customer business challenges, modern data architectures, and RiverPool’s product capabilities.

You will work directly with customers, helping them design modern analytics and data platform solutions while influencing product direction based on real-world customer needs.

This role requires deep expertise in data engineering, analytics platforms, cloud data warehouses, and enterprise architecture. You should be equally comfortable discussing technical architecture with Data Engineers and Analytics Leaders, as well as presenting business value to executives and decision-makers.

As an early leading position, you will play a critical role in customer success, solution design, product-market fit, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture Leadership

• Lead solution architecture activities across customer engagements.
• Design scalable analytics and data platform architectures for enterprise customers.
• Guide customers through modernization initiatives involving data warehouses, analytics platforms, semantic layers, and AI-powered solutions.
• Provide technical guidance throughout discovery, solution design, implementation planning, and adoption phases.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives, data leaders, and technical teams.
  
  

• Lead customer discovery sessions to understand business objectives, data challenges, and technical requirements.
• Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Support strategic customer engagements, workshops, proofs-of-concept, and design partner programs.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and serve as an executive sponsor when needed.
  
  

• Act as the voice of the customer within RiverPool.
• Partner closely with Founders and Engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities.
• Identify recurring customer requirements and translate them into scalable platform capabilities.
• Provide feedback on the platform's architecture, usability, and opportunities for customer adoption.
  
  

• 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Platform Leadership, or related roles.
• Deep expertise in modern data architectures and analytics ecosystems.
• Strong experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Proven ability to design and communicate complex data solutions.
• Hands-on understanding of cloud-based data platforms and analytics technologies.
• Experience leading technical workshops, architecture reviews, and strategic customer engagements.
• Experience with AI, GenAI, LLM-powered applications, or agentic systems.
• Strong business acumen and executive communication skills.
