Key Responsibilities

• Development and release of network protections and updates to Check Point’s customers across the world
• Reproduction and demonstration of malicious attacks and campaigns and mitigation planning
• In-depth investigation and study of unique network protocols
• Be part of the malware-hunting activities utilizing CP cloud big-data using analysis techniques that you will design and build
• Publication and demonstration of research results and insights, writing new content to Check Point blog, and other types of media
  
  

• B.Sc / B.A Computer Science or other technological major
• Understanding the common network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, SMB, FTP etc.)
• Understanding the OSI model layers
• Previous background in Cyber Security - advantage
• Familiarity with Network Security Vulnerabilities (DDoS, Brute Force, Spoofing, Injection, Insecure Deserialization etc.) - advantage
• Familiarity with Malware infection, C&C communication, Drive-by attacks, Phishing, Network scans - advantage
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-assisted security analysis tools, with an interest in applying AI technologies to cybersecurity research and threat intelligence - advantage
• 2+ years of experience in a Network Security Research, Threat Research, or similar cybersecurity-focused role
• Hands-on experience with IPS/IDS technologies, rule/signature development, threat detection, or network traffic analysis – advantage
• High motivation and passion for the Cyber Security world
• High technical capabilities
• Flexibility, ability to work in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment
• Good English knowledge
