Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hydrologist role based in Rehovot. The Hydrologist will analyze hydrological and hydrogeological conditions for infrastructure and construction projects, including flood risk assessments and water resource evaluations. Daily responsibilities include collecting and interpreting field data, performing modeling and simulations, preparing technical reports, and contributing to design solutions for drainage, groundwater lowering, and runoff management. The role involves collaboration with geotechnical engineers, geologists, and project managers to ensure integrated, safe, and cost-effective designs. The Hydrologist will also support regulatory submissions, assist in feasibility studies, and participate in client meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in hydrology, including surface water processes and watershed analysis.
- Experience assessing flood risk and designing mitigation measures for infrastructure and urban projects.
- Knowledge of water resource management, including allocation, storage, and sustainable use planning.
- Understanding of water quality issues, monitoring methods, and regulatory standards.
- Groundwater skills, including aquifer characterization, groundwater lowering, and flow modeling.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Proficiency with hydrological and hydraulic modeling software and GIS tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Previous experience in infrastructure, transportation, or geotechnical projects is an advantage.
