Ellipse ASI (formerly Elipse Engineering) is seeking a talented and experienced RF Engineer to join our advanced RF development team.

About the Role

As an RF Engineer at Ellipse ASI, you will design, develop, and test RF modules and components across a wide frequency range and power levels, including X‑Band systems and above.

You will work both independently and as part of a professional RF design team, collaborating with colleagues, project managers, and customers from the defense and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of RF transmit/receive modules, including X‑Band systems and normally up to 18GHz, but can go beyond as needed.
• Development of active and passive RF circuits using simulation tools (mainly ADS).
• RF PCB design and participation in multidisciplinary board design.
• Hands‑on testing with RF lab equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, VSA, Signal Generator, NF Meter, power meters, etc.).
• Preparation and participation of DRs (internal & external).
• Collaboration with internal teams and communication with customers.
• Working in an innovative environment under dynamic conditions.

Requirements

Must‑Have

• Minimum 5 years of experience in RF development of transmit/receive systems.
• Experience with frequencies up to 18 GHz (or above as needed).
• Proficiency in ADS for RF simulations (passive and active components and blocks).
• Experience in RF PCB layout.
• Experienced working with power amplifiers (hands-on).
• Experience with mixed‑signal RF systems design considerations.
• Hands on experience (design and test) with Transmit and Receive links.
• Experienced with preparation and participation in engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, FDR).
• English proficiency: written and spoken (all the ation in English). 

Preferred Advantages

• Experience with Allegro PCB tools.
• Experience in multidisciplinary board design.
• Familiarity with cellular or public‑safety communication protocols.
• Experience developing SSA power amplifiers:
• Few Watts to Tens of watts and above.
• Narrow band & wide band.
• HPA, LPA, MCPA (with predefined KPIs like digital communications etc)
• Capable transmitting Pulse and CW
• Have proven hands on experience designing mixed‑signal RF systems
• Experienced with design of antennas and antenna arrays for beam forming/steering.
• Knowledge of military standards (MIL‑810, MIL‑461) – specially design related aspects.
