Maritime Visual Data Specialist

We are looking for detail-oriented Maritime Data Annotation Specialists to join our data operations team.

In this role, you will work with maritime visual data using internal tools and structured guidelines. The work requires accuracy, patience, and the ability to review visual information carefully. You will help create and maintain high-quality datasets used in maritime technology products.

This position is suitable for candidates with a maritime background who are comfortable working independently, following detailed instructions, and maintaining high quality over repetitive and detail-focused tasks.

• Review and label maritime visual data according to internal guidelines.
• Work with internal annotation and review tools.
• Identify and mark relevant visual information in maritime scenes.
• Perform structured data review and quality checks.
• Follow clear labeling instructions and maintain consistency across tasks.
• Correct and improve annotations based on feedback from quality reviewers.
• Support maritime data analysis tasks when needed.
• Work closely with team leads to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain focus and attention to detail while working with large volumes of visual data.

• Background or experience in the maritime field.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to follow structured guidelines and work processes.
• Comfortable working with web-based tools and computer systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Good English reading skills.
• Responsible, organized, and quality-focused approach.
• Patience and consistency when working on detailed visual review tasks.

• Familiarity with maritime terminology and vessel characteristics.
• Previous experience in data annotation, visual inspection, quality review, or operational data work.
• Experience working with structured review processes or internal software tools.

This is a hands-on operational role in a maritime technology environment. The work combines visual review, structured labeling, and quality control. Some tasks are repetitive and require consistency, while others require careful attention and judgment.

The role is currently remote/hybrid and includes training, guidance, and ongoing quality feedback.
