Role Description The Head of Test Engineering (ראש תחום הנדסת בדיקות) is a full-time, on-site role based in Karmiel. This role leads the test engineering domain, defining test methodologies, standards, and best practices for complex defense and technology systems throughout their lifecycle. The position includes managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary test engineering team, setting priorities, and coordinating workloads across multiple projects. Daily responsibilities include designing and approving test plans and procedures, overseeing integration and system-level testing, reviewing test results, and driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions. The role also requires close collaboration with R&D, systems engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure testability, reliability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, as well as continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and infrastructures.

Qualifications

• Strong background in test engineering, including experience with test planning, test design, integration testing, system validation, and acceptance testing for complex hardware/software systems.
• Proven leadership experience in managing test engineering teams or technical domains, including mentoring, workload planning, and performance management.
• Solid systems engineering understanding, with the ability to derive test requirements from system specifications and to work closely with design and R&D teams.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries, including familiarity with relevant standards, quality processes, and documentation practices.
