Mertens Malam Team is hiring an Application Security Architect for a leading financial organization in Central Israel.

An exciting opportunity to lead application security initiatives across enterprise systems, applications, and APIs, while shaping secure architectures in both cloud and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

Lead application security requirements across systems, applications, and APIs

Provide professional guidance to Development, DevOps, and IT teams

Conduct security risk assessments and define advanced protection mechanisms

Design and implement secure architectures for Cloud and On-Prem environments

Work with Application Security, Cloud Security, AWS, Azure, OWASP Top 10, and Secure SDLC methodologies

Develop architecture and design documentation for security solutions

Collaborate with Information Security, Risk Management, Regulatory, and Audit teams

Drive security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Information Security with a strong focus on Application Security

Hands-on experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments

Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and Secure SDLC principles

Proven experience writing high-level architecture and design documents

Knowledge and experience with security protocols, encryption technologies, identity management, and access control
