Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Transport Modeler role based in Tel Aviv-Yafo. The Junior Transport Modeler will support the development, calibration, and validation of transport models for urban and regional projects, including demand forecasting and network assignment. Daily tasks include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing transportation and socio-economic data, preparing model inputs, running simulations at macro, mezzo, and micro levels, and interpreting results. The role involves assisting in transportation master plans, public transport analyses, and fleet management studies, as well as preparing clear reports, maps, and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders. The Junior Transport Modeler will collaborate with planners, engineers, and GIS specialists, contributing to project documentation and participating in client and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in Transportation Planning and Transportation Management, with interest in urban systems and public transport.
• Proven Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and problem-solving in a technical or planning context.
• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex modeling results in clear written reports and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (master’s degree is an advantage).
• Familiarity with transport modeling or simulation tools (e.g., VISUM, Cube, EMME, TransCAD, or similar) and comfort working with large datasets is an advantage.
• Experience with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and proficiency in Excel; knowledge of programming or scripting (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in parallel.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and grow in a modeling-focused role.
