Research Development Mechanical Engineer

A stable, well-established global medical device company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its innovative R&D team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative medical devices as part of the R&D team.
• Define product requirements and specifications based on technical, usability, operational, and regulatory considerations.
• Develop prototypes, perform testing, analyze results, and implement design improvements based on user and clinical feedback.
• Work with a wide range of advanced manufacturing technologies, including 5-axis CNC machining, Swiss-type turning, 3D printing, PIM/MIM, and other cutting-edge processes.
• Lead product development projects from concept through design, validation, and mass production.
• Plan and execute design verification and validation activities.
• Support regulatory and compliance activities, including testing and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in accordance with Design Control requirements (DHF, RMR).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to successfully bring products to market.
• Participate in the setup, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Work in compliance with medical device standards and regulations, including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and ISO 24971.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar R&D Mechanical Engineering role.
• Significant hands-on experience with CNC machining and/or plastic manufacturing processes – mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies and production processes.
• Experience in defining, planning, executing, and analyzing engineering tests.
• Previous experience in the medical device industry – a significant advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
• Hands-on approach, strong execution capabilities, and ability to lead projects independently.
