Responsibility for sourcing and managing Mechanical suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting integration activities of acquired products into Boston Scientific’s systems/processes.

• Build & enhance supplier relationships to drive sourcing & supplier initiatives to meet or exceed product quality, service & deliver sustainable cost reductions.

• Taking role with the global Mechanical Category team.

• Management of RFQ process – analyzing & negotiation of costs, understanding TCO, identification and mitigation of risks. Making recommendations to internal stakeholders.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to onboard suppliers to Boston Scientific’s quality system in a timely manner, ensuring that all activities are aligned
to Boston Scientific’s quality and commercial requirements.

• Negotiation of commercial agreements either independently or in support of internal stakeholders.

• Attendance at meetings - compiling data and presenting at meetings where required

• Assist with identification of gaps in processes and procedures, networking to collect process and system’s needs.

• Assist with writing, reviewing and implementation of processes and procedures to build a fit for purpose process.

• Seek out cost reductions with supply base year round

• Manage the annual budget process and cost setting for assigned parts/suppliers.

Experience & Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s (B.A) degree in Industrial Management or Economics- mandatory
Minimum of 5 years in strategic sourcing- mandatory
Minimum of 7 years' Experience with Mechanical suppliers- mandatory
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings - mandatory
Experience of negotiating commercial agreements
Training or experience with cost modeling, data analysis and negotiation
Fluent English
Excellent communication and collaboration skills at all levels, with both internal and external stakeholders
