Senior Android Developer

Description

ppltx is hiring for a tech-driven mobile apps publisher specializing in hyper-casual games and

utility apps and we're looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our R&D team and take a

key role in building and scaling our Android native apps & SDKs, powering user experience,

monetization flows, and live operations.

This role is designed for an engineer who is deeply fluent in Kotlin, not just as a language, but

as a platform and who has ventured beyond the standard SDK surface into the Android Open

Source Project (AOSP) to understand how the OS itself works.

This is also a unique opportunity for a developer who embraces AI as a core part of their

workflow: someone who uses it not just as a tool, but as a force multiplier to ship faster, think

bigger, and build smarter.

What you'll do

- Design, build, and maintain Android native applications in Kotlin, leveraging AI coding

tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development cycles and reduce repetitive

overhead.

- Own end-to-end delivery: architecture, implementation, performance, stability, and

release readiness, using AI-assisted workflows to move with speed and confidence.

- Integrate and maintain mobile SDKs (ads/mediation, analytics, attribution, remote config,

etc.), utilizing AI tools to streamline integration, documentation, and debugging.

- Collaborate closely with backend, product, QA, and data teams to deliver high-impact

features, using AI to prototype faster and communicate technical decisions more clearly.

- Improve engineering standards across automation, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring,

including exploring how AI can enhance test generation, code review, and anomaly

detection.

Requirements

- Strong mobile development experience in production environments.

- 5+ years of experience with Kotlin and Android Studio.

- Active, hands-on use of AI development tools (Cursor, Claude, Gemini, or similar) as a

meaningful part of your daily workflow, not occasional experimentation.

- Deep understanding of Android fundamentals: lifecycle, threading/coroutines,

networking, storage, background execution.

- Experience shipping apps at scale, including performance optimization and stability

improvements.

- Familiarity with modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean), modularization,

and dependency injection.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to break down complex

systems.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to influence technical direction.

- Self-motivated, adaptable, and genuinely excited about how AI is reshaping software

development.

Advantage

- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate delivery, faster prototyping, AI-

generated tests, AI-assisted code reviews, or prompt-driven debugging workflows.

- Experience with Gradle, CI/CD for Android, unit/integration/UI testing.

- Experience integrating ad SDKs/mediation, analytics/event systems, and attribution.

- Experience with build variants/flavors, proguard/r8, Play Console releases, and app

signing.

- Familiarity with networking stacks (Retrofit/OkHttp), Jetpack libraries, Compose,

Firebase, and crash reporting tools.
