Lead AI Engineer

A large and leading company is looking for a *Lead AI Engineer* to lead the development and implementation of advanced AI solutions in an enterprise environment.

This is a significant role that combines technological leadership, solution design, and hands-on development, with responsibility for building end-to-end enterprise AI capabilities. The role is suitable for a candidate with broad system-level thinking, the ability to work independently, and hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and integration with enterprise systems.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Leading enterprise AI solutions from the initial concept stage, through technical design, to hands-on implementation.

* Working closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs, evaluate use cases, and translate them into practical solutions.

* Designing and developing solutions based on language models, RAG, and AI Agents.

* Developing services and processes in Python as part of enterprise AI systems.

* Building workflows for processing enterprise information, including data ingestion, document processing, chunking, embeddings, and intelligent content retrieval.

* Integrating AI solutions with existing organizational systems, including internal systems, APIs, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams.

* Developing reusable technology components for future AI projects across the organization.

* Defining permission mechanisms, information security controls, and safeguards to reduce exposure of sensitive information.

* Supporting professional teams, implementing standards, and establishing work methodologies in the field of enterprise AI.

*Requirements:*

* Significant experience in Python development.

* Proven experience in building and operating RAG solutions in a production environment.

* Experience working with large language models, including Azure OpenAI / OpenAI.

* Experience developing APIs and integrating different systems.

* Familiarity with Azure services relevant to AI, search, applications, and integration.

* Experience working with tools or libraries for developing LLM- and Agent-based solutions.

* Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including IT, infrastructure, development teams, and business units.
