Cyber Security Lead

The Israel R&D Cyber Security Lead is responsible for maintaining the security posture of AT&T's Israel R&D center.

This role owns the security posture management process from monitoring to security issue remediation.

Additionally, the role combines leadership and hands-on execution to strengthen security posture, reduce control gaps, and embed security into the software development lifecycle. The Israel R&D Cyber Security Lead will build and maintain strong relationships with CSO teams and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with AT&T organizational compliance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the Israel R&D cybersecurity roadmap aligned with AT&T CISO/CSO vision and compliance requirements.
2. Own security posture governance, including daily ScoreCard oversight, root-cause investigation, remediation accountability trend analysis,
3. Act as the primary cybersecurity advisor for Israel R&D teams on secure design, SSDLC and specific security needs.
4. Work with Security Champions to identify, mentoring, and empowering champions within R&D teams to promote security best practices.
5. Establish strong working relationships with global CSO/CISO organizations to ensure alignment, escalation paths, and policy compliance.
6. Report posture, risks, and improvement progress to technical and executive stakeholders with clear, data-driven communication.
7. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in software product development environments.
2. 5+ years in cybersecurity leadership roles (Cyber Security Lead / Information Security Manager / CISO-track) in complex global cloud organizations.
3. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, MIS, Software Engineering, Networking, or equivalent (master’s preferred).
4. Proven experience leading security posture programs using scorecards/dashboards, control-gap analysis, and remediation tracking.
5. Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis on security findings and drive cross-functional remediation to closure.
6. Experience designing or leading a Security Champions program in engineering organizations.
7. Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations, including PCI, SOX, CCPA, CPNI, and GDPR.
8. Deep understanding of SSDLC and secure engineering practices in modern cloud-native environments.
9. Strong stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with CSO/CISO organizations and senior leadership.
10. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), including executive-level presentation and technical influence.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working in large matrixed enterprise environments.
2. Track record of strategic planning and cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
3. Experience influencing global security programs from a regional R&D center.
